Najeebullah, 6, whose father was killed by the Taliban, looks over the village of Anbar Somuch in the central highlands of Afghanistan. The villagers have been returning to their homes since the Taliban fled after destroying the entire village by burning all the homes and the mosque (seen destroyed to the left). The people of the high mountain village have been able to repair enough roofs with help from aid organizations for the 150 villagers but many people doubt there will be enough food to survive the winter.
