Khadi Toure, 8, of Norwood, MA, sits and listens to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital bone marrow transplant specialist Dr. Paul Woodard tell her, " You are doing great. You look great." during a hospital clinic visit in Memphis, Tennessee sixty-two days after undergoing a bone marrow transplant to cure her sickle cell disease. Toure was the first sickle cell patient to undergo a transplant with blood and cells salvaged from her younger brother's umbilical cord.
